Ductless Air Conditioning Repair and Installation

One solution is ductless air conditioning in buildings where it is impossible or impractical to use existing heating ductwork. We install, maintain, and repair all ductless air conditioning systems. A ductless system comprises an indoor, wall-mounted unit and an outdoor compressor. The split ductless system has an outside condenser. Tubing runs from the condenser to high-mounted blowers inside the building, which blow the cold air. These units are often called 'mini-split' systems.

These systems are perfect in areas where cooling is added after the building is already in place and ductwork isn't viable. Energy efficiency is high with a ductless air conditioner because they don't lose heat in the ductwork like a traditional air conditioner. They can solve cooling issues in large areas requiring more cooling than the existing ducted system. They can be used in garages or workshops, where adding ductwork to the current system isn't desirable or wise.

A/C Checkup and maintenance plans

Every air conditioning system should be checked before the season begins to ensure it is clean, lubricated, and operating at peak efficiency. By performing a checkup before the season, any system problems can be caught and resolved before they become a significant repair or interfere with the comfort of the family or business.

Choosing an A/C maintenance plan offers the home or business peace of mind. They can be sure that their air conditioning unit will receive regular, high-quality care and that a trained expert will review the system. A pro can spot potential problems before they become a more extensive repair or system breakdown.

Thermostat installation and repair

We install and repair all makes and models of thermostats. The thermostat is the 'boss' or brain of the air conditioning unit, and that tiny little box can order cooling for an entire building. If a thermostat malfunctions, it can cause misery for everyone in the home. It can also fail to operate if it's improperly placed.

Thermostats can be victims of power issues, dirt, loose terminals, corrosion, and manual abuse. If any of these cause a problem for the thermostat, the entire system can be compromised until the thermostat is repaired.

If your thermostat needs to be replaced, whether you choose a traditional, programmable, or Smart unit, it's worth weighing the cost against what the thermostat does and what it's going to cost you if it doesn't operate properly.

Air Conditioning FAQs

  • Ductless cooling and heating systems are units that heat and cool areas without the benefit of ductwork. Ductless systems are frequently seen in places like garages and warehouses. While ductless systems are not as widespread as units with ductwork, they have some excellent advantages. Energy loss is minimized, and the options for selecting the system's location are greater.

Ductless systems are easier to install and maintain and save money because they don't have the added ductwork cost. When an unlikely area needs climate control, often, a ductless system is often an excellent solution.

  • The pros of a ductless system are that it is more economical to install and can save energy as they are more efficient than a ducted system. They can be used in odd locations where ductwork is inadequate or can't be added, and the places where a unit can be located are much more flexible than a ducted option.

The drawback is that these systems work better in a single-area setting, not in areas with many smaller rooms. They require regular filter cleaning, which can transcend to a repair if neglected. They also cost much more than other units.

  • Air conditioning service requires less than an hour as long as there are no problems or conditions that need additional attention or repair. It is in the homeowner's best interest to have small issues handled immediately, both to save another service call and to ensure the system is ready for any weather.

  • When a thermostat has a problem, it can be caused by anything from failed batteries, dirt, or even an incorrect setting--for example, if it's set to heat in summer. But, after some troubleshooting, a technician may determine that the thermostat has failed. Typical issues are the air conditioner running continuously, failing to run, a temperature display that isn't the same as the temperature in the room, or one that doesn't have a display. These may be signs that the thermostat, which should last about ten years, needs to be repaired or even replaced.

  • A bad thermostat can cause an air conditioner to not cool but can also make an air conditioner run continuously. The good news is that when a thermostat replacement is unavoidable, it can be replaced with a Smart thermostat, which can pay for itself in a few short months when used appropriately and often offers much more comfort than its mechanical predecessors.
